I have suffered with foot pain since my mid-twenties after walking miles everyday during my role in a supermarket.
I have tried everything from orthotics in my shoes to fit flops and even reflexology to get rid of the pain and although it is under control with medication it still niggles, especially if I am on my feet all day.
A few weeks ago I was introduced to Strive Footwear who, since 1980, have been pioneering foot health and wellness – engineering authentic footwear technology that will limit the stress and strains of everyday life.
Every Strive shoe or sandal incorporates their ergonomically designed Biomechanical Footbed TechnologyTM, which accurately reflects the unique contours of your feet. By mapping these unique contours, the footbed technology may help to reduce harmful stresses placed upon your feet and body, a contributing factor associated with many common aches and pains such as Metatasalgia, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, Knee Pain and Shin Splints.
BFT technology is the unique combination of a contoured footbed, patent pending dual density sole unit and a worldwide patented sole geometry which can help to reduce excessive pronation, align the body and by properly supporting the foot can save energy by reducing muscle fatigue.
I was invited to review a pair of sandals from Strive and I have to admit I struggled to choose, eventually settling on a pair of sparkly Ibiza sandals. These stunning sandals include a full leather lining with diamante detailing and the lovely ladies at County Shoes in Dorchester made sure I was looked after and got the correct size shoe for my feet. I normally wear a size 6 because of the swelling in my big toe but it was clear a size 5 was the best fit.
I was advised to break them in gently, wearing them for just a couple of hours a day as my feet got used to the contoured footbed and the pronation control. Now the weather has improved I have been wearing them everyday and have noticed that not only has my posture improved but my foot pain has lessened and the swelling caused by arthritis has gone down in my big toe.
They are so comfy I have ordered myself the Yoto Sandals too which will look fab with my favourite maxi dress this summer. I cannot wait for them to arrive!
I always think it’s worth ordering something a few times if it really works for you, glad you found something that comfortable, they sound great! 🙂
Oh those sandals look fab! I have plantar fasciitis and really struggle with that, a lot of thinly soled shoes make it much worse. These look great though, maybe I will check them out!! Xx
Those sandals look great. The older I have got the more I realise that life is to short to have painful shoes.
Those sandals sound terrific. I’m glad they have helped ease the pain. It must be really uncomfortable.
These look and sound amazing. I walk a lot and my feet ache quite a bit too. Glad to hear that they have helped ur pain.
They look very nice for the summer! It’s good that your overall foot health seems to have improved too.
Comfort is vital for me when choosing footwear. That they look so lovely is an added bonus!
That’s great that they have reduced your pain. They are beautiful as well x
These look lovely! The choice is great too. Glad there helping you.
Sounds like you got good service and a great pair of shoes. I can’t abide bad fitting footwear!
They look very comfy. I bet you can’t wait to have them x
Sounds like just the thing for me – I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis from time to time.
We sometimes forget how important our feet are but important they are and wearing the wrong shoes can completely throw your whole body out. These sound perfect and a great for busy mums on the go.
My feet are never comfortable. They always feel bad so maybe it is time to try and buy some of these.
These look incredibly lovely and I adore the design, very funky x
Those sandals look lovely. It’s great that you’ve seen an improvement in your posture and foot pain since you began wearing them too.
How awesome that you’ve found something to address a long term pain like that. Good stuff!
I love how these shoes look as well as how good they are for you. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on a pair
These sound great! Since I started suffering from psoriatic arthritis in my left toes several years ago, I have to choose my footwear so carefully!
THey look really pretty so if they’re good for you as well then I’m a fan. I’m all about comfort in shoes and I only have one pair of heels which are rarely worn!
Living in the South of France I spend at least 8 months in sandals and these sound fab, I’m going to look into them NOW!
These are a bit snazzy aren’t they Kara! I do hope they continue to help. I have to say having lived in heels before POD was born, there’s something to be said for comfort. Don’t make me say it’s an age thing! X
I love that neckband! How lovely. These are extraordinary thoughts. This year I am expecting an Instant Pot and shoes. I’m in urgent need of new athletic shoes.
