After all the excitement of last week things have got no quieter here. We were up and about early on Sunday for a very special occasion, the Scouting Association St George’s Day Parade and it was a very proud moment for me as Isaac had been chosen to be flag bearer.
They marched all the way from Durley Chine to Bournemouth Gardens before standing to attention with their flags and then presenting them to the Scout Leaders in front of thousands of people. Isaac even made the Bournemouth Echo!
On Monday it was Eliza’s turn to make me proud as she made her Rainbows Promise. After a weeks of practicing she did it perfectly!
Tuesday was quieter with some bubble fun in the garden after school and Wednesday was another busy one. We headed into Poole in the morning to buy Isaac’s new cub uniform, getting Lord Baden Powell to model his new cap on the quay. In the evening we headed to Cranborne to take part in a quiz night and we actually won it this time!
Thursday was Isaac’s first Cubs meeting and he loved it. He came home armed with letters and has two camps to go on already. Best get buying all his equipment!
Friday was Sebby’s swimming day and after a wobbly couple of months he is back to his happy, water-loving self. He then had a much needed hair cut which he wasn’t so impressed with as they used clippers for the first time.
On Saturday I headed to Manchester for BlogOn. It was lovely catching up with some of my favourite bloggers in a pre-event meal, sadly I didn’t get to enjoy the delicious cocktails as I was driving – maybe next year.
Here is my week in pictures:

Wow non-stop for you guys! I remember doing St Georges Day parades when I was in Brownies and Guides. Quite a big deal to walk in front of all those people – well done to Isaac for being t the front and carrying the flag!
Oh bless them both! What a great week for them. I am so sorry I wasn’t at Blog On – I would have loved to met up with you again. Kaz x
