This week I am finally starting to turn a corner after the car saga and last week we picked up our ‘new to us’ car, although it did have to go back for a couple of days midweek as the parking sensors failed. We had word back from the warranty company and after an investigation they are still saying that the engine failure was caused by wear and tear which I am not happy about but it is their get out clause and we have no way of fighting it.
On a lighter note, Monday began with both Eliza and Isaac being celebrated in their school Celebration Assembly – Eliza for being a writing machine and Isaac for respect after turning a corner with his behaviour at school.
Wednesday was another proud day for me as Isaac and Eliza were doing their swimming badges during their lessons. Isaac powered through and got his 1000m badge and Eliza did her 25m badge, not bad for age 7 and 5.
On Friday it was the end of an era for Isaac with his last ever Beavers session as he moves up to Cubs next week. I stood watching proudly as he got his last 3 badges and the whole group sung him Happy Birthday.
Finally Saturday was Isaac’s 8th Birthday and he had a science party. I have never seen a group of 7 and 8 year olds sit so quietly at a party. They were all fascinated by making slime, conducting electricity and making chemical reactions. The favourite was definitely the mentoes in the fizzy drink though!
Here is my week in pictures:
107. Isaac with his new WWE Championship Belt after watching WWE in Birmingham the night before
108. Celebration assembly at school
109. The best way to travel – Daddy’s shoulders
110. 1000m – Done!
111. Whizzing along on her bike
112. Last ever Beavers session
113. Making his hair stand on end using the Van de Graaff generator
Fab photos!
Well done to your two at school. It sounds like they are doing brilliantly!
The science party sounds fantastic!
Wow you have had a busy week with lots of accomplishments! Love the photos – Isaac certainly has an armful of Beaver’s badges x
What what a week for you all! Such a busy week full of amazing achievements. x
What a fantastic week. I would still be peeved about the car too. I love the idea of a science party.
Well done kids on a great week! The science party looks a lot of fun – far better than a group of boys racing round manically!
You’ve had a very busy week but the science party looks fun!
Looks like you’ve had a lovely week and I’m so pleased to hear that you’ve got a car again x
Sounds like a busy, happy week! Lovely round up and great photos as always.
