This week has seen the kids go back to school and after a stressful school holiday it was nice to have the house to myself for a few hours.
We started the week on Sunday by dropping Hubby to work and then heading down to Weymouth to the Sealife Centre where we got to explore their new Bay of Rays. Eliza was particularly fond of the new dome to peer through.
Monday was back to school and the weather was so warm that Eliza insisted on wearing a summer dress when she got home.
On Tuesday Sebby and I hopped on the bus to Poole to buy Isaac a new school jumper as a mysterious hole had suddenly appeared with his. We made the most of the lovely weather and enjoyed a portion of chips on the quay which led to us being stalked by a rather intimidating seagull, so we decided to eat them whilst walking back to the bus stop. Sebby loves the bus but it has a tendency to make him fall asleep so I ended up carrying him and my shopping home.
Wednesday is swimming lesson day and thankfully Hubby was day off so we could get there by car. It was really hot inside so we ended up sitting outside and peering through the windows.
Thursday was another bus trip as I had an appointment at Poole Hospital for my arthritis check-up. I have had quite a bad flare recently so they have decided to change my medication which meant a steroid injection, blood tests and a chest x-ray too. Two and a half hours and a very bored toddler later and we were back on the bus home and you guessed it – a snoring toddler. Carrying him home was even more of a killer as my leg felt like concrete after my injection.
On Friday it was Sebastian’s swimming lesson and thankfully Emma who lives close by gave me a lift as it would have taken 2 buses and over an hour to get to my destination which is otherwise a 10 minute drive.
Saturday was a friends party and Abbey came to my rescue with a lift as Hubby took Kian and Isaac up to Birmingham to see WWE live.
Here is my week in pictures:

Lovely photos! It sounds like a tiring week without a car. Sorry to hear about your arthritis flare-up, that must be both painful and frustrating.
Sounds like a frustrating week with the arthritis flare and still no car. Lovely photos though.
The dome photo is gorgeous! And aww @ the nap on the bus, so cute. Hope your arthritis is better with the new meds.
The seagulls are an out and out pain, pester you relentless.
Not having a car does make things difficult and puts me off doing things as I hate buses.
Hope your arthritis settles down soon,
Fab photos! It looks like a fab week…
I love that photo of your boy jumping in the pool. Such fun x
Gorgeous photos, I hope the medication change will help you. Nothing worse than being in pain and nothing helps xx
Sounds like you’ve had a tiring week. It’s so hard to get places without a car I font drive and it can be a pain getting buses or a tea in to get to places.
Damn seagulls – they always spoil fish and chips al fresco!!
Looks like a great week. Love the one at the sea life centre and Sebby in his trunks is just TOO cute xx
You deserve a medal lady. I’m really not sure how you squeeze everything in. What a great week. Hope everything went ok at the hospital
I prefer it when my children are home 🙂 Oh we have intimidating seagulls too – they have taken chips, ice cream and a fish chunk from my daughter in the past! Kaz x
You always seem to do so much in a week! I am loving the sunny weather we have started getting, its long overdue
Looks and sounds like a busy but productive week all round, I hope the change in medication will be good for you
Have to agree, I was glad the kids went back to I could have a couple of hours to myself at home!
Sorry to hear you have had a bad arthritis flare up
