Just before Christmas Eliza decided to announce to Father Christmas that she didn’t like her room anymore and that she wanted a Princess bedroom instead and it is something that she has not stopped mentioning since.
Much as I would love to give her the bedroom of her dreams I do have one problem – she shares with Sebastian and I cannot see him being happy with a bedroom filled with “Princess things”.
The first step of making her wish come true is to get some Princess bedding and this will be presented to her on her birthday on Sunday. I also have it on good authority that one of her over presents may just be some Princess wall stickers, which I will pop on the way by her side of the bed.
The next step of transforming their bedroom is to get some bunk beds as Sebby is ready to move from his toddler bed into something larger. In fact I think the fact his bed is now too small is waking him in the night, so I am now stalking Gumtree for the perfect set of bunk beds although I would prefer some L-Shaped Bunks, so Sebby could have “his wall” with stickers that appeal to him.

I am happy to buy a second hand bed, but insist on getting a new mattress for him and have already started looking at getting a mattress online in the sales plus they need more storage as we are over-run with toys!
Do you have siblings that are different sexes that share – how do you get around having a bedroom theme?
