Did you know it is only 24 more sleeps until Christmas Day?
I was gliding through November without a car in the world and December sort of snuck up on me and went “Boo!” this morning. I am normally far more organised and although most of the presents have been bought I still need to buy for both my Mum (and her birthday present) and my MIL. The question is what do I get them?
My MIL arrived at swimming a couple of weeks ago soaked through, complaining heavily that her coat wasn’t waterproof. It gave me the idea of a getting her a warm, waterproof winter coat.
Regatta have a good selection women’s jackets in a variety of colours, sizes and styles plus, they have an amazing sale on some of their coats already!
I think she would like the the Roanstar Jacket as it would be the perfect cover-up for the colder months. It’s cut with flattering curved seams, a peaked hood and a drawcord at the waist so you can tailor the fit, plus it is waterproof with a breathable Isotex 5,000 coated fabric which is seam sealed to lock rain showers out and the inner is lined with low-bulk, high warmth Thermo-Guard insulation.
As for my mum, she helpfully dropped into conversation that the dog had destroyed her favourite slippers – I have no idea why he is fascinated in shoes? It is a running joke that I always buy her slippers for Christmas so why not break the habit of a lifetime and she has said she needs some more, so I am going to pop up the road to my local Brantano store and pick up these cute Clarks Eskimo Ski slippers for her.
For Abbey it would be something for her Pandora bracelet which we bought for her 21st Birthday and have been gradually adding to. The selection of Pandora Charms and Beads is huge, but she has her heart set on a Disney inspired charm with the word Believe written in Gold to match her tattoo.
For my SIL we normally buy her clothing and there are some great bargains on women’s knitwear around at the moment.
We also like to get them small gifts from the children and I have fallen in love with the Balance Me range Christmas Collection and with gifts starting from just £6 they won’t break the bank.
The Balance Me Super Moisturising Hand Cream is perfect for my MIL as she works in a hospital and gets dry hands thanks to the alcohol gel. This cream deeply hydrates dry hands, preventing crepiness, nourishes nails and cuticles and protects hands from signs of ageing.
The Balance Me Luscious Lips is perfect for my mum who is jetting off on a cruise of the Norwegian Fjords. This festive lip perfecting Shine On Tinted Lip Salve in Sheer Red not only hydrates dry lips but can be worn layered over your favourite lipstick or alone for a wash of colour and gloss.
Or there is the Lanolips Limited Edition Lips cosmetic case although I think this will best suit my daughter or SIL. The case comes with two shades of Lip Ointment – Rose and Rhubarb which offer a naturally glossy look with supercharged moisture.
Have you finished buying your Christmas gifts yet or are you like my husband that leaves it all until Christmas Eve?
Love the jacket – and the Balance Me stuff. It’s a make I really like. I’m all for shower gels, bath stuff and nice smelling candles. It’s not very original, but I do love them!
I’m nearly finished but the kids keeping seeing other things! I love the Regatta coat.
I love the Lanolips gift set – the colours look lovely and just what I would wear.
