My boys love LEGO!
My boys love DC Comics!
Combine LEGO and DC and you’re on to a definite winner.
We were sent the LEGO Super Heroes Batboat Harbour Pursuit to review. Aimed at children aged 6 and over Kian and Isaac shared building responsibilities and surprisingly they worked together beautifully to build it.
Kian concentrated on the larger model and built the Batboat which features two split-function hoverboats each with opening cockpits and a stud shooter, two flick missiles, secret radar tower with explode function, minifigure seat and control screens, giant batwings, Batman emblem logo and translucent elements.
Isaac built Deathstroke’s jetboat which features a saddle, integrated super jumper, two flick torpedo missiles, two weapon holders with a gun and sword, and a safe with a chain and two diamond elements
The set also includes three minifigures with accessories: Batman, Deathstroke and Robin along with capes for Batman and Robin and a fold out secret radar tower to track Deathstroke.
To help make building the models easier the sets are all split into different plastic bags so you can build the set a piece at a time and it is less confusing.
Kian and Isaac are very pleased with their models and can now re-enact their favourite DC Comic moment – Deathstroke has stolen diamonds from the bank and is escaping with the loot on his heavily-armored jetboat.
Batman and Robin jump into cockpits of the batboat at Gotham city harbour and set off in high-speed pursuit. They open up the secret radar tower and examine the control screens to track the jetboat and evade the jetboat’s flick missiles and swerve to avoid Deathstroke’s super-jumping attempts to knock down the radar.
They then activate the split function to launch the super heroes’ hoverboats, ambush the villain and reclaim the safe with the jewels.
Wow that looks brilliant, my son BB has a few of the DC Comics Lego sets, they are brilliant fun and great for building up motor skills and strength in their fingers too 🙂
The L:EGO DC stuff has been a big hit in my house too. Mini got some for his birthday and it is on his Christmas list too
Ah, sadly I think my son has grown out of lego now but in the past he has loved things like this x
