Transported to a Galaxy Far Far Away

My husband is Star Wars mad!

We have a loft full of his old toys, which he occasionally brings down to look at and the kids get a firm “Don’t Touch!” warning, so when I heard that Star Wars were at Madame Tussauds London I had to take him.

The new Star Wars exhibition is a unique, immersive experience featuring 16 of the most famous heroes and villains in scenes from some of the most iconic moments from the Star Wars universe and hubby was in his element.

As we approached the doors to go in, one of the staff members asked Isaac if he wanted to press the button. Pressing it made the Star Wars music come on which only added to the excitement……….. time to go in!

Our first wax works were Anakin Skywalker posed with a light sabre and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn fighting Darth Maul and it really set the scene for what was to come.

The next exhibit saw Hubby relaxing and having a drink at the Cantina with Hans Solo.

The next was possibly his favourite as he flew the Millenium Falcon with Chewbabca at warp speed.

and of course there was the obligatory pose with a Storm Trooper.

No Star Wars feature would be complete without meeting Princess Leia in “that” outfit and of course Yoda and Darth Vada were there too. It was here you could have your photo’s taken with your favourite character and we purchased both for £10.

The Star Wars exhibition is part of the normal Madam Tussauds tour and when we visited it was surprisingly quiet which meant we could walk around freely. If you have a fan in your house then this is a must as all the waxworks were brilliant and true to life.

We visited Madam Tussauds as Merlin Annual Pass holders which gives you 12 months of unforgettable fun at 32 Magical Worlds across the UK.

  1. Aw wow, we would all live that as we love Star Wars. We recently gave our 5 year old all the DVDs to drive his enthusiasm for it too and he is hooked. We went to Madame Tussauds in the Spring and had a great day, would love to go back. Have often considered the Merlin Annual pass as it would surely save us money as a large family like yourselves.

  2. We passed Madame Tussards yesterday and didn’t know this was on! In fact it’s somewhere I have never been to despite living and visiting London so often.
