Bissell Handheld Steam Shot Review

I have long been a champion of the steam cleaner and have found it an invaluable tool to help clean up after the kids and the cats, without using harsh chemicals and safe in the knowledge that using steam kills the majority of germs and bugs instantly.

My steam mop gets used several times a week but I had one regret – mine has no attachments so cannot use it to clean tiles / grout / windows and toys.

BISSELL, a company they admit is full of neat freaks care about finding ways to make our homes cleaner places and for more than 130 years, the family-owned corporation has developed and created the world’s best cleaning tools. The must have heard my plight as they sent me their new handheld steam cleaner the Steam Shot to review.

The BISSELL Steam Shot 2635 and has been manufactured with modern steam cleaning needs in mind. Weighing only 2.3kg, and with a 4.8 metre cable, this compact steam cleaning machine is simple and easy to use on a variety of hard surfaces and comes complete lots of fabulous features.

This portable steam cleaner comes with 9 Multi-Surface Cleaning Attachments including;

  • Extension hose
  • Detail Brush Kit – 3 colour coded brushes
  • Grout Brush

It also includes an extra long power cable which is very handy when the nearest plug is miles away from your bathroom as it is in our house.

Bissell Steam Shot

I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of cleaning and try to spend as little time as possible doing those must do jobs, but cleaning with steam is so much easier than scrubbing with chemicals that make your eyes water.

To use you simply fill the BISSELL Steam Shot with water, switch on and it heats within 30 seconds. To release the steam you simply pull the trigger!

The attachments are easy to put on and off and because the steam is only released when you pull the trigger you can swap them over any time you need to change them over. So far we have used the grout brush on our kitchen and bathroom tiles and it has brought them up beautifully – especially the bathroom

Tiles

The window squeegee is brilliant too and finally I found an easy way to clean the shower doors and mirrors. The brushes have got into the corners of the shower and the angle tool finally got to the one place where grime was building up as nothing, not even an old toothbrush could get to.

Even the teens want to use the BISSELL Steam Shot so I am hopeful that my bathroom with remain clean and tidy for the foreseeable future!

Next on my to do this is to try the upholstery cleaner to freshen up ours sofa’s are they are starting to look grubby and tired.

  2. I love my steam cleaner and it comes apart so I can use it as a handheld cleaner. I’ve had it a very long time though, and it doesn’t come with a grout cleaner, which is something I could really do with..cleaning the bathroom is my worst nightmare.
