Regular readers of my blog will know that I suffer with Acne Rosacea and very sensitive skin that flares up in the slightlest instance, so finding products that don’t make it worse has been a challenge.
Last year I did a review on La Roche-Posay products and I found the skincare range that most suits my skin, so when I was approached to do a review for Chemist Direct I was excited to see that they stocked a good range of their products.
Top of my list was La Roche-Posay Rosalic which has been formulated to neutralize redness and help protect skin from the vicious cycle caused by external aggravators. The smooth and refreshing texture instantly soothes your skin and the cream has a green tint which helps disguise the redness.
My next choice was the La Roche Posay Rosaliac CC Cream which is a covering and corrective cream for sensitive skin. It has a universal tone that blends well into all fair and medium skin types and conceals the appearance of uneven skin tones. It has an SPF 30 so has been brilliant to use over the summer as is streak free and easy to apply and means I don’t have to wear heavy make-up over the summer months.
My final choice was La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Make-Up Removal Gel which as an almost “icy effect”, which cleanses gently and soothes immediately, leaving the skin radiant and comfortable. Its micellar structure dissolves traces of make-up easily and without the need for rubbing. La Roche-Posay’s formula also contains Thermal Spring Water, which hydrates, soothes and softens.
I had made a few other choices and placed my order with Chemist Direct, receiving a confirmation email straight away and was promised delivery within 3 days.
The next day I received another email to say that three of my items were out of stock and they wouldn’t be getting them back in so they were cancelling my order. Obviously this wasn’t ideal – I had received a £50 voucher to review the site and with the cancellations it took me well below that figure.
The other items I had ordered were showing as in-stock on the website and were also stocked individually so I gave them a call and explained what had happened. The customer service team couldn’t have apologised enough, ordered the individual items and reset me order. A couple of items were being delivered later in the week so they advised I wouldn’t get them straight away which was fine.
Half my order arrived the very next day and the final half of my order within 3 days.
It was a perfect experience, but thanks to their amazing customer service I would certainly shop with them again!
