The summer holidays are going far too fast. I feel like we are not going to have time to squeeze in everything we want to do and the rubbish weather this week hasn’t helped either.
Sunday saw us leave Essex after the wonderful wedding of some very dear friends. It was back to earth with a bump on the Monday and the weather was atrocious so we stayed indoors and the kids built a train track that ran all around the ground floor of the house.
The weather improved slightly on the Tuesday and whilst Eliza and Isaac went to Beach School at Burton Bradstock, Sebby and I went to explore nearby Charmouth.
Wednesday was the best day weather wise and we headed to Bolderwood in the New Forest to do the Superworm trail and found their deer sanctuary where we saw lots of different types of deer and all with Eliza dressed as a fairy!
On Friday we headed into Hamleys, London for the launch of the new Steffi Love Doll and got to meet the beautiful Pixie Lott before heading off to explore Covent Garden after a pit stop in the Nickleodeon shop and today has been spent shopping for Kian’s birthday presents as he turns 15 next week as well as some dreaded shoe shopping for school.

Wow, you’ve had a busy week as ever! Love the photo with Pixie Lott.
School shoes are a sore point with me at the moment – my younger son wants smart shoes for grammar school – not velcro and not square-shaped, clumpy toes. But he’s an H and that’s all he can get! I’ve looked so many places 🙁
oh i am so with you about the holidays passing by too fast, and us maybe not doing all i had planned too. the weather has not helped mind you!
what a busy week you ha had with some lovely photos. i bet your hubby was pleased to be sat next to Pixie lol!
We’re into the last couple of weeks of our ten week break, and it has just gone so fast! That train track must have been fab, and how cool to meet Pixie Lott 🙂
Gosh you’re certainly packing it in! I feel a bit the same to be honest. Firstly we’ve not really been at home and the rest of the holidays seems to be spoken for! I’ve got a week at home with my boy next week, thinking of things to do with him. Love that you all met Pixie Lott – how fab! x
what a fab build on the train track, bet that helped to keep them well and truly amused.
Love the grand piano, and the lovely setting it is in.
