Rubi and Boris Girls Dress Review

It is a sad fact that I spend more money on my children’s wardrobe than I do on my own, although designer-wear doesn’t feature, I just like original clothing that doesn’t originate from the high street.  There is nothing worse than seeing half a dozen children wearing exactly the same clothes at a party, unless it is fancy dress of course.

I probably have the most fun dressing Eliza as she loves wearing pretty dresses, in fact we often have a meltdown if I insist on trousers for a particularly muddy adventure in the forest.

I was contacted by Rubi and Boris to see if I would like to review one of their dresses from their range.

Rubi and Boris’ signature product is a front fastening organic cotton babygros in different styles and designs. I wish I had found these when Sebastian was a baby as with front fastenings, you can bid farewell to the hassle of endlessly trying to pull vests over your child’s head and being organic, they are kind to your child’s skin but they are stylish, modern and practical.

In addition to their ingenious babygros, they added a collection of beautiful dresses named Little Lady. Little Lady is all about celebrating the joy of being a little girl with dresses any princess will fall in love with. With glitter, laces, frills and fun designs this range is a must have for little girls and Eliza quite agrees.  The only difficulty we had was choosing one!

It was a choice between the stunning Jenna dress and the cat dress and I decided that we would prefer one that was wearable on a daily basis. The cream dress has a black collar with faux button detailing on the front.

Made from lightweight cotton and finished off with a red belt it is perfect for the summer.  It also has a little bit of net just peeking below the skirt which gives it that added girly twist for Eliza. My one grumble is that it needs ironing after being washed, but it doesn’t take long.

If you are after a party / special occasion dress for your little lady I urge you to check them out as they are stunning as well as reasonably priced.
