#CelebrateBetter with McDonald’s

McDonald’s isn’t the first company that you immediately think about when it comes to the beautiful game, but they have been involved with the FA since 2002 and have been tirelessly working to make grassroots football better; introducing better play to local communities by helping clubs, providing kits, arranging awards and hosting community football days. In fact back in 2011, Kian was lucky enough to be a player escort at Wembley thanks to them.

Player Escort Wembley

This summer, McDonalds are looking to #CelebrateBetter, giving you the chance to win a player escort place at UEFA EURO 2016™. Your child could walk out alongside their international footballing heroes, just like Kian, at next Summer’s big tournament and to be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is share their best celebration!

Using the hashtag #CelebrateBetter, they are looking for the best goal celebrations from up and down the country. It could be in your local 5-, 7-, 9- or 11-a-side game, a weekly match with friends or just a kick about in the garden – they want to see how you celebrate your goals – passionate, fun and with a dash of creativity! Over the years us fans have been treated to a variety of dazzling celebrations – my favourite has to be Jose Mourinho’s Knee Slide and fist pump and who can forget the Robot from Peter Crouch? Rehearsed, creative or just plain spontaneous – they always a provide a talking point!

Celebrate Better
To take part simply take a photo or video of your child’s best celebration. Upload it to Twitter and share it with the hashtag #CelebrateBetter and @BetterPlayUK. Simple as that!

All qualifying entries will also be considered for the ‘Celebration of the Day’ which will see one lucky winner each day win a pair of tickets to this year’s Community Shield! Tickets will be given away on a daily basis up from the 27th -31st July, but you can share your celebrations up until midnight, 30th August 2015 and the winner will be announced on Monday 7th September.

  1. I like it that McDonalds are doing their bit to help promote and encourage sport amongst children and this sounds like a fun competition. I’m not sure my son could score a goal (his preferred sport is karate) but we could try!
