Sshh! Don’t Wake Dad from Drumond Park (rrp £22.99, age 5+) is a brilliant electronic board game where players must creep past a sleeping Dad as he snores (yes, really!) in bed.

Move forward avoiding the howling cat, the tinkling bell and the hooting owl – but each time you do wake Dad, he jumps up like a zombie! At this point you earn a card, which gets you past the hazard it illustrates.  So the more you play, the more cards you collect – and the first player who makes it to the fridge and grabs that delicious slice of chocolate cake is the winner!

The box contains Dad in his Bed which requires two AA batteries, some cards and different coloured tabs which you move around the board as you try to get the chocolate cake from the fridge.

The game had the kids in fits of giggles as soon as you put Dad to bed as he snores…….loudly. The game is aimed at age 5 and up but Eliza and her friend Connor played with no issues at all and they are both 4. If you land on a square and do not have the relevant card in your hand you have to press Dad’s alarm clock the number of times it says on the square…….but Don’t Wake Dad!

  32. The remote control. Because he’s always watching the TV but snoring at the same time lol. 🙂 The remote control is like a “blanky” for a young child.

    Back in the day though, Idve been sneaking past to get some biscuits.
    Sure I had this game when I was younger…thanks for the throwback memories! Would love to revisit this one with the family 🙂
