In our home we have vinyl flooring that looks just like laminate but is more forgiving to spillages and any little tumbles that happen. For the last two years, since Sebastian arrived, we have had our padded Toto Kidogo mat in the lounge with it’s bright jazzy road pattern that the kids love to play on.
A couple of months back, with Sebastian’s toys getting smaller as he grows up, we decided to create a playroom where the dining room was and move the dining table into the lounge. The benefit is we have an adult and children’s space now and I can shut the doors on the clutter in the evening.
The playmat has moved into the dining room and I felt the lounge looked as though it was missing something without it. Carpetright got in touch to ask if I wanted to review one of their rugs from the new range which are launching this week. As I am planning on re-decorating soon I chose one in my planned colours – cream and blue and love how it looks even without the room being finished.
Rugs are great way to add texture and warmth to any space, especially in the winter months and come in a variety of colours floral prints, symmetrical patterns or striped rugs to suit each individual taste.
Of course Sebby wanted to play on it instantly – well it is lovely and soft and comfortable. The rug is made from 100% polypropylene which means that it is an inexpensive way of changing the look of a room and can be cleaned using my steam cleaner in case of any spills (food and drink are banned from it though).
I just need a coffee table to finish the look now.
That is a beautiful rug, I have been looking for a nice rug for a while to break up the plain carpet. I will have to check out the new range.
I love this rug- looks great! We need a new rug for the conservatory – the old one got so stained and tatty from kiddie use and it’s time to replace it now!
Oh that is gorgeous. There are some beautiful rugs in the new range x
I love rugs – they can easily be switched from season to season, and to suit your mood when you fancy a change. Once we have wood flooring down in the living room, we’ll be buying a rug for the centre. x
That’s a beautiful looking rug, no wonder your kid wanted to play on it straight away!
Love rugs looking into a new one as ours is getting a little bit old now so will keep this in mind.
Oh that looks lovely very. It’s amazing the difference one little thing can make to a room!
Oh I adore that rug. It has a real watercolour paint look to it. Just gorgeous
I love how you can change the look of a whole room quite inexpensively with a new rug and a few accessories xx
Oh I love your rug Kara. They really do make a difference on non-carpeted floors don’t they. Perfect for Sebby too, he already looks like he adores it. It must be nice to have some adult space. We have the perfect house for an extension but we’re not there yet. One day 🙂
Could have worded that last comment better! I love your rug
Oh that rug is beautiful! I could just imagine it down by our fire place. x
That is a lovely rug and it looks as though Sebby is a bit of a fan x
It’s a very pretty rug – makes a real focal point for the room.
That is a very pretty rug indeed I love it
This looks lovely! I need a new rug for my living room so I’ll check them out! xx
I love the print and colours on your rug. And the fact that it is easy to clean, always a huge bonus!
It’s very pretty, I only have one rug now in the conservatory because the floor is so cold!
It’s very pretty, we don’t have many rugs may have to think about getting another
