Project 365 2015 – Week 27

Birthday month is finally over with the last one today, Happy Birthday Hubby – finally back to being a year older! (We are the same age for just 2 weeks of the year and boy does he milk it!).

Hubby returned from the stag weekend away in Magaluf on Sunday a little bit lot broken so being ever the dutiful wife I dragged him to London to the preview of Shrek’s Adventure.  We caught up with my cousin Emma who joined us for all the fun, but sadly Abbey and Callan got lost and turned up too late to enjoy the tour. Safe to say there was a lot of snoring on the way back home from him and the kids as we didn’t get back to almost 10pm.

On Monday we took Sebby to see the Red Arrows leave Bournemouth Airport as they had been displaying at Goodwood Festival of speed.  I have never seen a little boy so excited and he was bouncing up and down in my arms as they took off three by three. They even waved back!

It is safe to say this week has been scorchio and the paddling pool that hubby picked up from work in the sale last year was finally inflated.  It is so large it took 8 hours to fill with water!

On Friday we had the biggest thunderstorm I have ever seen.  We stood outside and then at the windows for an hour watching it as the skies were literally alight constantly with lightning strikes.

Saturday we went to the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth and explored the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and many of their museums. We didn’t get to do it all but will be back very soon

  1. What a week! The lightning photo is fantastic – I saw a few flashes here but went back to sleep and didn’t get up to watch. Love the look of HMS Victory – looks like its worth a visit 🙂

  2. Great week! I live in between Southampton and Portsmouth so we must be close to each other! I woke up on Saturday morning to my Facebook going on about this thunderstorm……we slept right through it! I wish we hadn’t though as the lightening sounded wonderful.
