Eliza has been Ben & Holly mad since she was 2 and her fondness for the program doesn’t seem to fade as others have.
If you have not seen Ben & Holly it is a children’s animated cartoon that is set in an enchanted magical kingdom with fairies, elves, insects and even big people!
We were sent Hide and Seek Holly to review and Eliza couldn’t wait to get her out of the box! She is soft and cuddly and has the added bonus of being able to play Hide and Seek thanks to her Magic Remote.
Sadly Holly and her Magic Remote don’t come with batteries and we didn’t have enough in the house to test her straight away, so Eliza took her upstairs to introduce her to her other toys whilst I asked Daddy to pop out and get the 7 AAA batteries that we needed to get her working.
Thankfully Daddy was our hero and came home armed with all the batteries required – four to be inserted into Holly’s Head and 3 for the remote control and we were off.
Holly welcomes you with “Hello I’m Princess Holly, lets play Hide and Seek…….can you find me?”
Press the button on the remote control as you try to find Holly and you get some of these phrases as you search.
“Wow – this is fun!”
“Can’t find me”
“Are you are walking in circles”
“You’re colder than a snowman!”
“You’re hotter than a baked potato”
“Getting closer”
“You’ve Found Me, lets play again!”
Holly gives lots of helpful clues as to whether you are hot or cold as well as some of her famous phrases and is great fun to play and we are getting more and more imaginative with hiding places.
My only grumble is that there is no volume control and the speaker is rather loud.
Verdict: A must for any Ben & Holly fan!
Typical kids toy loud and in need of loads of batteries lol. Sound like a fun toy though x
I love watching Ben and Holly with my god son – he would love this x x
Why do kids toys come without batteries! 7 is a lot and yes they all need volume control too!
aww my Ami would love this great review.
I keep batteries in, but I think I would struggle to come up with 7 AAA batteries unless I’d just stocked up. Looks a lovely toy other than that though.
This sounds like a fun toy but I can’t believe how many batteries it needs!
I never understand why you have pay so much money for a toy for it then to not come with batteries!
Wow 7 batteries, that is a lot x
Sounds like a great toy. My daughter would have loved it when she was younger.
My friends little girl would love this, she is a huge Ben and Holly fan
Ouch, seven batteries!? My son used to love Ben & Holly…in fact so did I! 😀
oh wow Kara this looks fab, i love Ben and Holly! .. is that wrong?
This looks so much fun but I really hate it when toys require so many batteries and they aren’t supplied. Pet hate of mine.
This looks fab, my daughters probably too old but would still find this game of finding Holly fun
This looks really good fun – we are Ben & Holly fans in this house too, especially Nanny Plum!!
