Lelli Kelly were never on my radar. They were not around when Abbey was young and with three boys after her, shoes were pretty much always trainers.
Eliza can be a bit of a tomboy and loves digging in mud and climbing, but she also likes her “princess clothes” and her favourite colour is pink! She adores the Lelli Kelly adverts as they are so eye-catching.
When I was asked if I would like to review the Charles Clinkard website – the high street shoe retailer, I spotted they sold Lelli Kelly range and knew Eliza would love a pair of her very own.
The website was easy to navigate, with clear descriptions of all the shoes they had on offer. The only problem we had was choosing which pair she wanted.
We ended up going for the Maisie style, which are perfect for summer.
Ordering was simple, I simply added the pair to my bag and clicked checkout.
I was redirected to the checkout page and was given the option of a gift wrapping the shoes, which is a fab idea if you are planning on giving them as a birthday / christmas present. I filled out my details, paid with paypal and done. The process took no time at all.
I was really impressed with the easy to use website, which immediately sent a copy of my invoice and a despatch confirmation. The shoes arrived the NEXT DAY too!!
Eliza was so excited by her new shoes and the free gift of a light up hair clip and a bracelet made her day. She insisted on wearing them straight away.
The shoes are made from a bright turquoise / blue canvas material with a colourful butterfly print with a classic Lelli Kelly embellishment to the uppers. The shoes also feature a secure riptape fastening which can be adjusted for best fit and non-slip rubber soles provide optimum comfort and support. They also have a luxurious high padded collar and soft textile linings keeping little feet comfy all day long.
The shoes are beautiful and I am confident that Eliza is comfortable wearing them but…….and sadly it’s a big BUT….
We have had them 10 days and look at the wear and tear on the sole already. The white pair are her Clarks shoes that she has had for 16 weeks for comparison.
At just shy of £50 for a pair of children’s shoes I would expect them to last a lot longer. Eliza hasn’t worn these everyday as she has had school, but she has worn them on the days she wasn’t there and to her sisters and Nan’s birthday parties. Her Clark’s on the other hand she has worn on almost a daily basis since she got them and there is no sign of wear like this.
I have contacted Lelli Kelly for a response and will keep you updated on their reply.
Have you bought Lelli Kelly shoes before – did they last?
Disclosure: I was reimbursed for my purchase of Lelli Kelly shoes in return for a review
see i do like these but think they are ridiculous in price , my daughter had some and they didnt last that long
wow shocking that these cost £50 and have gone like that after less than 2 weeks! They are gorgeous though. I hope you get sent another pair or refund.

What a shame about the quality – the design is lovely but children’s shoes need to last.
These look so pretty, proper girlie patterns and colours.
oh wow, lovely shoes, i would definitely like my little one to have something like this
Really I have only heard good things about them, to the point where people have resold them for pretty much what they paid for them . I hope you get a response for them.
They look so pretty, but that is terrible that they look like that after 10 days! x
I have always loved the look of these shoes but the price always put me off…am glad I didn’t buy them now
That is such a shame. For the price you would expect them to last a lot longer. It’s a pity as they are so pretty x
Only 10 days – that’s shocking! My boy always fancied the light up ones ha ha
Pretty shoes, shame about the wear and tear, especially at that price!
Wow – that is some wear and tear 🙁 Such pretty shoes, but if they don’t last, what’s the point – especially at that price tag!!
at almost £50 you would expect something much better… I do not believe shoes meant to be a single use product 🙁
That’s such a shame – they are so much more expensive than other shoes so you would really expect a much higher quality x x
My daughter is desperate for some Lelli Kelly shoes. What a shame about the wear and tear as that is a lot in 10 days!! I’d be really interested to hear whether that’s a fault with that particular pair as I’d be really shocked if they all wear like that. I hope they get back to you. Thanks for a great review.
My girls keep asking for these shoes but I would never pay that amount for shoes for them. Now I’m glad I didn’t!
I thought they look so cute -then I carried on reading wow, I hope they come back to you with something.
they lok so lovely but it’s a shame they haven’t lasted as well. Good old clarks! x
Wow thats not great for such expensive shoes! They do look very pretty but that really is quite shocking!
I have been looking at getting a pair of these. We see them when we go into clarks x
