Kelo-cote Silicone Gel for Scars

I first read about Kelo-Cote Silicone Gel when it was reviewed by SusanKMann and was keen to try it on my own c-section scar.

I tried Bio-Oil initially on my scar and whilst it softened it and took some of the redness out, it was still pinched and raised where they had pulled the stitches too tight and I was still getting pain.

I started using Kelo-Cote in October, when Sebastian was 4 months old and have been using for over 6 months now and am so pleased with the results.

Kelo-cote is a patented silicone gel which has been proven to flatten and smooth out scars – both old and new.  It also helps with itching, redness and general discomfort. You apply gel to the affected area and it dries in a few minutes leaving a waterproof sheet like substance over the skin which is breathable and not noticeable. This binds to the outer layer of dead cells to allow a better healing process and improve the scar.

For the best results it is advised to leave on the skin for 24 hours, so I apply after my shower first thing in the morning. It takes around 60-90 days to see a vast improvement, but older scars may take longer. Kelo-cote is even suitable for children and those with sensitive skin.

The first thing that surprised me was the size of the tube.  It is really small at just 15g and I was worried it wouldn’t last, but you only need a tiny amount of the gel so in fact I have only just finished my first tube, six months on.

The results are amazing and I saw a marked improvement in my scar within a month!

Six months on and my scar has gone from puckered and un-even to smooth and almost invisible.  I am continuing to use the gel as there is one tiny part of the scar where it was most pinched that I can still see, but it is vanishing fast.

If you have had any type of operation that has left a visible scar then I highly recommend Kelo-Cote Gel, it’s amazing.

A 15g tube is priced at £29.99 but you can get 15% off using the code KELO13 and free delivery too!

  1. This sounds amazing. I really didn’t think stuff like this actually worked but will definitely bear this in mind in the future
