I don’t know about you, but my kids are always far better dressed than I am.
I have been a fan of Next children’s wear since I had my first child 20 years ago and I cannot think of think of a time that they didn’t have at least one item of clothing from Next in their wardrobe, so I was really excited when I was invited to their HQ in Leicester to see their summer range before it hit the shops.
We left Bournemouth at 6am expecting to hit lots of traffic, but we sailed up to Leicester with no issues at all. I did get a little confused by the road system close to Next itself but we arrived safely to find breakfast laid on for us and lots of toys to keep the children amused.
Once everyone arrived we were let loose in the mock store to have a sneak peek at the autumn / winter ranges as well as what was heading into Next stores for spring and summer.
I was quite surprised at how enthusiastic Kian was as he normally hates clothes shopping, but he is starting to take an interest in fashion and is developing his own style. He soon had a list of clothes he wanted to add to his wardrobe.
I wandered around with Joanne from Charliemoos and we were soon quizzing the buyers about the items in the store. It was great to be listened to and I am hoping to see some more of the girls fitted tulip style t-shirts in store soon. Kian put in a request for some Minecraft clothing, whilst Isaac was more than happy with the superhero offerings and Eliza requested a sparkly Minion t-shirt.
It is a good job it was only a mock store, otherwise I would have spent a fortune. We took photo’s of our favourite items before heading out for lunch at a local restaurant.
The adult food was delicious, but unfortunately the kids didn’t enjoy their pizza’s and the their behaviour started to deteriorate so we packed up and headed for home instead of staying to make pizza’s.
I was, however, delighted to have been given a £30 Next giftcard to spend at our local store and managed to pick up some of the items I had my eye on. Sadly Kian’s choices are not available yet, but I keep checking!
What do you think of our choices?
I love Eliza’s jump suit (can’t wait for this to be handed down 😉 ) may buy Megan the “twofer” skirt set!
PS. thanks for changing the comment luv 🙂
Lovely choices. I too am a fan of Next, and the kids always have something from there. We are off on holiday in a few weeks time and most of their clothes will no doubt be from Next – I’m planning a big shop next week! x
I’ve always liked Next kids clothes. I sometime struggle to get nice boy’s clothes but Next always seems to have the best choice and I know I can find something there. I like the Champ t-shirt and will look out for that.
That looks like a great event, I love Next girls clothes. x
The clothes look wonderful! I love next clothes too and looking forward to seeing their new range x

I love the mum description! I really do like Next children’s clothes too, they’re always such good quality x
My little boy has some lovely clothes and I do like some of the Next clothes. The biggest bonus is they are usually pretty hard-wearing.
I love clothes shopping for my children. I must admit I don’t often go to Next but it looks like they have some lovely things.
What a fab range – there is some really nice about next clothes they seem to last well as well. x
I know the feeling that your children look so much better than you very well 😉 I love the NEXT clothes for them, I think I might have spent half my salary on them the first year our oldest was born! I haven’t bought much for Summer yet, so I’m very excited!
