Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker

After seeing reviews last year of the Chill Factor Slushy Maker last year and subsequently purchasing some for my teens, I was excited to be offered the Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker to review.

The kit promises that is is an amazing, quick and easy “at home” ice cream making sensation which makes fresh, natural, soft serve ice cream in minutes with no mess and no fuss!

Step 1:  Freeze the Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker until it is frozen

Step 2:  Measure and mix the ingredients from the recipe guide in the lid and then pour them into the Ice Cream Maker

Step 3:  Screw the lid of the cone back on and shake for a few seconds to mix the ingredients

Step 4:  Remove the topping lid and squeeze, squeeze, squeeze.  In minutes you have a delicious soft serve ice cream treat.

Using 100ml of single cream I found the ice cream too sickly for me, but Kian loved it and we were both genuinely surprised by how well it turned out.  I tried to get a picture of the ice cream only to find he had wolfed down the whole lot rather quickly!

There are lots of recipes and flavours to try and I am keen to try and make the sorbet next as that sounds lovely and refreshing.  It definitely isn’t the quickest way to make an ice cream dessert but it is certainly fun!

  1. What a clever idea. I have an ice cream maker which is like a kind of casserole dish which you put in the freezer, taking out to stir the ingredients every so often, but this looks much simpler.

  3. My girls keep asking for one of these but I worried they weren’t going to be as good as they seem. Thanks for this review; I’ll be happy to buy them one now I know they really do work!
