Breakfast is renowned as the most important meal of the day and it has got a whole lot easier with the launch of Heinz’s new breakfast range.
Bursting with goodness the range includes:
- New Breakfast pots which are available in three flavours – Creamy Oat Porridge, Banana and Apple Museli and Very Berry Porridge
- New Breakfast Biscotti which are made with a blend of 6 grains. They also contain Inulin, a natural plant probiotic that helps support healthy digestion
- Heinz Baby Breakfast Cereals which have 11 flavours in the range.
We were sent some of the range to try now that Sebastian has started weaning.
We started off with the Creamy Oat Porridge which he wolfs down. Tasting it myself it tastes just like adult porridge although mixes to a lovely smooth paste; just add warm water – perfect for early weaning. The porridge contains key vitamins which are essential for healthy development, like calcium for strong bones.
Apparently wearing food is much better than eating it |
The Breakfast pots were brilliant for when we were on holiday as they are easy to pop in the bag and you don’t have to worry about mixing them up.
The breakfast biscotti reminded me of old school style rusks (I am showing my age here). You can give them to baby as a biscuit or mix them down with baby’s usual milk. I have to admit that they don’t mix down as smooth as the porridge and Sebastian didn’t like the lumps, but he is only just 6 months and we are just starting to introduce more textured food as his confidence at sitting up grows. He did gum the end of the whole biscotti though when given to him and I think this may become a teething favourite!
The Heinz breakfast range is available in Tesco, Morrison, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Boots and is suitable for babies aged 4 months and up
