Sebamed Skin Care – A Review

I have mentioned my problem skin before, it has always been a little sensitive but as a teen I never suffered from spots and only occasionally had an eczema breakout – usually when stressed.

As I have got older, my skin has got worse.  I suffer with Acne Rosacea on my face, which nothing I have tried seems to be able to help and ever increasing patches of psoriasis and vitiligo.

The state of my skin really gets me down at times, and as soon as I can afford to I fully intend to have some laser therapy on my face to try and reduce the symptons of spots and redness.  In the meantime, I have to find a facial cream that doesn’t irritate it further as Rosacea causes it to become tight and sting!

When Sebamed contacted me, to see if I wanted to review their products I scoured their website with interest.  Their products have a pH range of 5.5, which is the average skin pH so won’t irritate the skin.  You can read more about the science behind it here.

The skin adviser page is fantastic – simply follow the questions and the website will advise you on the products best for your skin.  Best of all is that they do a range for babies & children, men and women!

I was sent the Day Defence cream, Night Intensive Cream, Derma-Soft Wash Emulsion, Revitalizing Shampoo and the Hydrating Body Lotion to try.

Does it work miracles and have I got perfectly flawless skin?

Well no, but I don’t think anything will manage that feat!  What I have got is skin on my face that is definitely smoother, calmer and there is no stinging – none at all!

The body wash and hydrating lotion have definitely helped my itchy skin – especially across my growing bump and the shampoo has helped calm the patches of psoriasis on my scalp.  It even smells nice too!

I am definitely going to keep using products from this range and want to try some more.  I will certainly look into in the suncare products too, if we ever get some warm weather.
