We are big fans of Trunki in this house, and were very excited to see their products at The Baby Show.
We are already building up our Trunki collection, having purchased the kids their Trunki suitcases for an upcoming holiday – Kian is most upset they don’t do one for his size, and are also the proud owners of a Killer Whale PaddlePak that I can just about squeeze both boys swimming stuff into.
When I was asked if I would like to review one of the new range of PaddlePaks, I wasn’t going to say no. Eliza has just started swimming lessons and it is the perfect size bag for her to carry, as well as having some fantastic features:
PaddlePak features
- Roll top closure
- Safety buckle fastening
- High quality water-resistant fabric
- Adjustable shoulder straps
- External tail pocket
- Hanging loop
- Padded mesh back
- High visibility reflective straps
- Accessories loop
- Trunki grip™
- Recommended for ages 3-6 years old
The first thing I had to choose was which PaddlePak we wanted, which isn’t an easy choice when faced with so many gorgeous designs. In the end, we decided on Inky the Octopus.
Eliza loved it instantly, and insisted on wearing it around the house an hour before we were due to leave for swimming. The bag comfortably held her towel, wetsuit, swim nappy, nappy and baby wipes with room to spare (in fact it holds 7.5l). There is even a little coin purse under the tentacles to keep any valuables (locker money).
Off to swimming |
As you can see from her face, she was very proud of her PaddlePak:
After the swimming lesson had finished, and we finally managed to get her out of the pool and changed, we loaded up the PaddlePak with her wet towel and swim stuff. It kept the moisture in and the outside of the bag remained nice and dry!
Although it is getting lighter now, I love the added feature of the reflective strips and the accessories loop, which we will hang her goggles on once we have found some that fit!! It is a bag that can be taken anywhere and I have no doubt it will be joining us on many an outdoor adventure in the coming months, be it a visit to the beach or the forest!
We love our PaddlePaks so much, that Isaac has insisted on his own one. We are looking forward to welcoming Spike the Blowfish next week!

Hi Kara
We loved your Trunki review – we’ve been testing them out around the office with some of the parents on our team and they’ve proven to be a huge hit with them, their kids and also many of our customers.
Keeping kids entertained at airports is difficult at any time and these Trunki cases certainly take some of the pressure off us stressed parents!
We thought your readers might be interested in a competition we’ve got on our website to give away three of these Trunkis – entry is very simple, and is based on a multiple choice question. To enter, just click here:
