When I found out I had been selected to review some Hotel Chocolat chocolates i squealed with excitement, as I had always seen such fantastic reviews.
As a huge lover of dark chocolate I was sent the Dark Christmas Collection to try.
I made the fatal error of taking these to my mum’s to sample after her birthday dinner. From the moment I presented the box, the compliments started.
Mum described the box as understated and classy, which I agree with. Once the box was open however, there were gasps of excitement and a clamour to get to sample one first.
There is a selection of 19 of their finest festive dark chocolate truffles, pralines, caramels and more, all beautifully finished and ready to wow – featuring creamy truffles with Rum & Raisin, Zesty Clementine, Whisky Toddy, Salted Caramel and more.
I adore chocolate orange so was very pleased to be able to sample the Zesty Clementine, which I can only describe as divine! Everyone commented on how delicious the chocolates were and all agreed they were some of the best chocolates they had ever tasted, and that they looked fantastic too.
The Dark Christmas Collection are priced at £20, and if I found them in my stocking I would be over the moon!! My mum has already hinted that she would like some more too, so they must be good!!
