Peppa Pig has a lot to answer for!!
Eliza is obsessed with jumping in muddy puddles.
I have written about my love of Moors Valley Country Park numerous times, but it is fun even when it is cold and wet, as you can see from the picture above.
Eliza spent the whole time shouting “Muddy Puddle” before careering at break neck speed into each one she saw. We had to be vigilant though, as some were a lot deeper than others and I was worried she would get stuck, or end up waist deep!
The boys had great fun too, although they were more interested in completing the Playtrail and climbing everything in sight!
They did stop to help their little sister though!
Don’t be afraid of the great outdoors in Autumn and Winter – it is a great fun way of looking at all the changes in nature and striking colours. I invested in a waterproof suit for Eliza which cost me just £11 from Lidl, I am just waiting until they get some more in so I can get one for Isaac.
My one tip – take a bin bag in the back of the car to store the muddy boots on for the journey home – they got very messy!!
And one more thing – you are never too old to enjoy the swings!!
Lovely post Kara, We have the Lidl overalls in our reception for our guests to borrow. The were originally the triplets who are now 8 years old, so I can certainly vouch for them and their durability! Your winter outdoor message is so spot on, summer sun is lovely but winter has it’s own appeal so long as you are wrapped up warm! Thank you for sharing, I love the photo of your eldest helping little sister, these are the moments that make me very proud as a Mum!
They are such good value aren’t they!!
Much as I moan about their behaviour sometimes, they are brilliant with Eliza when out and about!
What lovely photos.
Great post! Puddles are fab and FREE! I find the all in ones great for said activity as I’m afraid my wee man has got waist deep! Lovely photos…such a great family feel!
