The Perfect Fajita Kit

Discovery has introduced another exciting new product to join it’s successful range of Mexican Foods:  The NEW Perfect Fajita Kit.

Discovery Fajita Kit

I was sent the Perfect Fajita Kit to review and the first thing that sprung to mind when I opened my package was “Wow – finally a fajita kit that will fit in my cupboard!”.  My family love fajitas but I have purchased previous kits that just don’t fit in my cupboard securely, so this was perfect.

The Original Discovery kit contains eight Soft Flour Tortillas, a sachet of Salsa and a packet of spice mix.  They also have a Crispy Crumb and Mexican BBQ varieties which are mild heat and a Perfect Enchilada Kit too.

All you need to make your fajitas is chicken, an onion and two peppers.  The instructions are on the side of the box and couldn’t be simpler and it took just 10 minutes to create a delicious family meal.

We tried the Original, medium heat version and it certainly packed a spicy punch, perfect for older children and adults!  I wouldn’t recommend this variety for little ones as it made even my eyes water a little whilst cooking, but hubby and I really enjoyed them.

Kian couldn’t wait to get stuck in too, although they proved a little too powerful for him in the end.  He only left a little bit though!

What struck me was the softness of the Tortillas.  They rolled easily and even hubby commented on how delicious they were compared to others we have tried.

I am going to try the milder versions for the children, but will certainly be buying the original one for hubby and I again!

The kits are priced at an RRP of £3.19, however on my recent shopping trip to Sainsburys I noticed that they are currently on offer at half price!

  1. I do like the kits for easiness. I have always found Discovery to pack more of a punch then their counterpart. We have Mexican a few nights a wk so I shall give this a try x
