There seems to be a couple of new crazes on the up at school at the moment.
For girls it seems to be the rise of something called a JoJo Bow, which is a ridiculously large coloured bow that sits on top of their heads.
The other is trainers with light up soles, which look brilliant at school disco / party time!
We were sent a pair of Beam Shoes to review for both Isaac and Eliza and they could not wait to try them.
Beam Shoes are rechargeable, light up shoes that come with 7 static colour modes; red, green, blue, yellow, turquoise, purple and white; 1 strobe mode and 3 colour-cycling settings.
They currently come in blue and white and are easy to charge with a double ended usb cable which clips into a charge point tucked between the tongue and the wall of the shoe. Each charge gives the shoes approximately 6 hours of battery life. According to another great review by ShoeAdviser, a pair will last long enough that you won’t have to buy another until they won’t fit properly.
To change the colour settings, simply press the button at the side of the shoe. Of course, for school disco’s the shoes have to be in strobe mode!!
The trainers have a cushioned insole for hours of support whilst running around and dancing and the upper shoe is made of resistant PU and a thick, durable rubber sole.
We cannot wait for the school disco to show off our dance moves in our flashing shoes!!
P.S: They do adult size Beams too!!!
Love those lights! Might have to get a pair for myself!
Oh my…just make the mistake of reading with two kids next to me. Guess what they now both want?
They do look fab though
I love that they’re rechargeable. My kids would go crazy for these!!
Oh those are so cute – I want a pair too!
I love the idea of light up shoes for kids and with their own USB charger? My son would LOVE that!!
oh how amazing! We have school disco’s next week and I think these would go down a treat!
Oh my goodness my boys would absolutely adore these! So cool!
How cool are they?!!! My kids would be beaming with pride to go to their school disco in a pair of those
Oh wow these are very cool indeed – my son would love these with the flashing lights. bet he loved them

These look so fun. Mine are a little too small for shoes like this yet, but I’m sure they would love them when they are older.
At our last gym competition a whole team had these, I didn’t realise they were a “thing”. They look fab!
I’m the sure the kids love them but I’m really not a fan lol
