#FantasticBeasts and Where to Find Them

I rarely go to the cinema these days.

If I do go it is to see a children’s film with the kids as we tend to wait for films to come out to watch on TV.

There was one film out this year that I insisted on seeing as soon as it was released at the cinema – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

I have been a fan of Harry Potter since the very first book was released and have all the books on my book shelf and all the DVD’s in my cupboard, so was over the moon when they announced they would be making this film and have been waiting patiently for it ever since.

The film is set in 1926 and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.
He arrives in New York for a brief stopover and gets into a bit of a pickle with a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, misplaces his magical case (think Tardis but more impressive), and then some of his fantastic beasts escape which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds before facing his biggest foe Grindewald who is second only to Lord Voldemort.
It is safe to say I adored the film and after vetting it first to check it was suitable for Isaac, we took him to see it too.
We have been sent some fabulous merchandise from the film to review which I know Isaac is going to love.
Fantastic Beasts

The Panini Fantastic Beasts sticker book full of images from both the new film and Harry Potter and is a great way to see all the characters and creatures we know and love from the films. Even some of the stickers are magical with heat reveal ones and foil ones included in some packs.

We also received a couple of Pyramid posters, a Scholastic Colouring and Creativity book is only £4 at the moment (reduced from £7.99), some Scholastic books including a fab Poster book, Character Guide and Movie Handbook, Paladone gadget decals and a Danilo calendar.

Fantastic Beasts Book

I may have smuggled the Paladone Harry Potter gadget decal pack away for me as it is a great way to quickly personalise your gadgets (laptops, phones and tablets) with an extra sprinkling of all things wizardry.

I cannot wait for Isaac to open these on Christmas day so I can read them all too!!

Disclaimer: I was sent these items in exchange for coverage but all thoughts are my own.

  1. Hi! How old is your son Isaac? My daughter is 9 and when we saw the trailer (while watching another movie), she was frightened and asked not to go to watch it. She is quite sensitive I have to say. We will wait for the dvd version and hopefully she will be ready by then.

  2. I don’t know about going to see this film I think its only because it doesn’t have Harry Potter in it but so far I’ve like the adverts and this post is convincing me abit more, I think I just might have to take a trip to the cinema after Christmas
