It is that time of year when the windows in our house form condensation.
Condensation is formed when warm moist air comes in contact with cooler dry air and we used to have a huge problem in our house – it got so bad we had puddles of water on our window sills.
Thankfully changing our windows and installing trickle vents has helped and although we still get some condensation, it is much better than it used to be.
But what if you cannot afford to replace your windows?
We were sent the Vileda Windomatic window vacuum cleaner to review which not only offers you a quick and easy way to a streak-free finish after washing your windows, but it removes condensation in windows, shower doors and even steamed mirrors.
The suction power runs across the full wiper blade and removes water from windows efficiently, leaving no drips and no need to polish afterwards. The flexible head ensures that contact is always maximised, and vacuums right down to the bottom of the window and into corners, however, you do need to make sure you hold it in the correct position other water leaks out and runs down your arm!
The lithium battery is mains rechargeable so you can use it cordlessly all around the home. The machine is lightweight and has an ergonomic grip to make handling easy and one charge can wipe up to 60m² – enough for the whole house.
The windomatic is easy to clean and empty with removeable parts and makes cleaning windows a lot easier. In fact Hubby actually volunteers to clean the windows now as he enjoys using it.
We have a real problem with this in the conservatory. Was wondering if it would work on the car windows too.
Wow, I need to try his, our porch is full of condensation!
This would be a great solution in our house. If it can double to leaving streak free patio doors when the dog leaves her mark on them even better.
We often have an issue with condensation in our house. This sounds like a great tool to sort it out.
This sounds perfect – will have to investigate as we suffer condensation in the winter quite badly x
We have installed new windows in certain rooms but because of the positioning of the house we still get condensation. I open the windows each day but it’s getting far too cold to do that now so this would be good to use instead.
Oh I so need one in my life as soon as possible!
Oh this looks good! Think we need to get one as we got quite a bit of condensation last year
We don’t have condensation but this would be great for washing the windows by the looks of it x
