Project 366 2016 – Week Thirty

It is week two of the school holiday’s and I am shattered already!

For good reason though, we have been having lots of fun with not one, but two lots of camping involved.

We started the week in Crealy Meadows, Devon where we turned our hand to some glamping, heading back on Sunday in time for Megan’s birthday party.

Monday saw us heading to Potterne Park to scoot and cycle through to Moors Valley where we found the Gruffalo’s Child which Sebby decided to hug for ages as he was so enamoured with it. After we finally managed to drag him away we build some dens in a newly cleared piece of woodland.

On Tuesday we were invited to Bournemouth Beach to take part in a bloggers picnic to highlight the LV Kidzone wristband scheme which runs across the beach in the summer.

Wednesday was a wet and dreary day sadly, so we decided to head to Lemur Landings for some soft play fun. Thursday was the start of our second camping adventure, this time with Pitch Village at Camp Bestival. I have to say that this is the way forward – no lugging heavy gear to the campsite, tent pitched and ready and lots of facilities to make sure you are comfortable for the entire stay!

Friday saw my very favourite event at Camp Bestival ever! We were lucky enough to be selected for the sleeping under the stars experience with Fore Adventure and they arranged for a story session with Martin Maudsley around the campfire. He was amazing, weaving stories as the kids suggested things, along with some song singing along to his ukulele and rounding off with hot chocolate and marshmallows.

On Saturday we got to see some of the kids favourite acts including Mr Tumble, Dick n Dom and Fat Boy Slim in the evening who stole the show.

Here is my week in pictures:
