Unplugged Cordless Rechargeable Vacuum Cleaner

The Unplugged Cordless Rechargeable Vacuum Cleaner from Hoover gives you the freedom of cordless technology with exceptional cleaning performance and we were sent one to put through its paces.

The vacuum cleaners features include a turbo boost mode, battery status indicator, easy release brush bar and LED nozzle lights. and is suitable for carpets and hard floors, with an ultra-slim design and swivel nozzle that negotiates your furniture with precision and a runtime of up to 55 minutes.

This machine cleans well and is very easy and lightweight to handle, weighing in at just 4kg. Its ultra-slim design means it is easy to store, and comes with a hook to attach to the wall that it hangs on as it doesn’t stand upright.

The Unplugged is designed with a rotating brush bar so you can clean both hard floors and carpets.  All you need to do is switch the button from hard floor to carpet mode and the brush bar will separate the carpet fibres for a deeper clean. The brush bar can be removed quickly and easily whenever it needs cleaning: no tools required.

Unplugged Cordless Rechargeable Vacuum

It has an excellent run time of 55 minutes when not using the boost button, which is plenty to clean our entire 3 bedroom house but there is one major niggle with the vacuum cleaner – it has no attachments so I cannot vacuum dust off the skirting boards or attack any cobwebs that have appeared on the wall or ceiling. Using the special turbo boost function to help you tackle those difficult vacuuming jobs really saps the battery life too.

The vacuum cleaner works brilliantly on our hard flooring and on the hall, stairs and landing carpet, however for some reason it just does not get on with the carpets in the bedrooms which are a slightly thicker pile.

I really wanted to like the Unplugged Cordless Rechargeable Vacuum from Hoover but I am afraid it is not versatile enough for us!

  1. I too have a Dyson cordless vac and love all the attachments and the cleaning power it has. I think it will be a while till something else is as good or better.

  2. It sounds like a good idea being unplugged but as you say, I always use the attachments too. It takes me ages cleaning dog hairs up so I bet that would zap the battery too..
