It is hard to believe that summer term is here already and it is time to start thinking of buying uniform for the warmer months of the year.
Matalan invited me to review some of their new school uniform range and with Kian leaving school in a few weeks I decided to concentrate on Isaac and Eliza.
The Matalan school shop makes back to school time simple, with a choice of easy-care school uniform separates for boys and girls as well as smart shoes and all the little extras they’ll need, like bags and lunchboxes.
Eliza and Isaac’s uniform is purple and I often struggle to find summer dresses in those colours, especially in store so when I found a large range of styles in the colour I require I was over the moon.
I have to admit I do prefer the button design, however Eliza prefers the zip as she can get it on and off more easily – certainly one to be wearing on P.E days. Both dresses came with a matching gingham scrunchie and I also bought some white ankle socks with a cut purple bow.
It is now compulsory for Isaac to wear a school tie so instead of white polo shirts he needed some new shirts which I teamed with a pair of cargo style school shorts. I do need to get him some short-sleeved shirts for when the temperature really heats up but he looks very smart. The shirts come in a pack of 2 pack and feature a touch close and button front fastening with lasting comfort and durability making them perfect to wear as part of everyday school uniform.
Both Isaac and Eliza’s uniform comes up true to size and Isaac’s shorts have an adjustable waist to ensure they fit nicely. I have had uniform from Matalan before and am always impressed by how well it washes and wears – the added bonus is it doesn’t need ironing either!

Awww don’t they look cute!! I can’t believe how quickly Beanie Boy has grown out of his school uniform already, he seems to be growing by the day so it’s time to start hunting for new uniform for him soon.
We’ve had uniform from Matalan before and it washed and wore really well. Love the little dress, so cute, my daughter won’t wear them now.
