Nimble Nook Travel Cot Review

Back at the beginning of August we were at heading off to Camp Bestival, sleeping for 4 nights in a tent.

As you can imagine, taking six of us and all the equipment we needed for the 4 days is a challenge so anything that is space saving is a bonus.

As Sebby is only two I prefer him to sleep in a travel cot as it is off the cold, damp floor and it also keeps him contained so he cannot do any late night wandering.

I was sent the Graco Nimble Nook travel cot to take with us and it is the slimmest most lightweight travel cot I have ever seen. It even comes with wheels makes it even easier to move through doorways, around the house or even oustide the tent. The cot itself was plenty big enough for two year old Sebby and is super simple to put up and fold away by simply pressing the grey buttons on the sides and ends of the cot which collapses the side bars. You then pull the red strap in the cot base and it all folds in on itself. The mattress wraps around the folded cot and has velcro to secure it in place. You can then pop the whole lot into the travel bag and away you go.

The cot features folding feet and wheels for a 20% more compact fold for easy carrying and storage and this made a big difference when playing car jenga with all our equipment.

Also includes a toybar with two soft toys making which gave Sebby something to look at as he drifted off to sleep.

I would have loved to have this travel cot when Sebby was younger as it also includes a built in soothing vibration bassinet – perfect to help soothe restless babies and you can read what MyFamilyFever thought about it with baby Eliza here.

The Nimble Nook travel cot has come in very handy on our travels and we have used it several times in hotels and whilst staying with family, I am hoping that Sebby still fits in it when we go to Camp Bestival next year!

  1. I used my travel cot a lot when the boys were small, partly as a place for mini to sleep so maxi couldn’t get him and also as somewhere for a timeout for maxi!
