A Princess Ball with Dorset Dreamers

If there is one girly thing my tomboy Eliza loves, it’s the Disney princesses and she adores dressing up as her favourite characters and singing along to their songs.

When I happened upon Dorset Dreamers on Facebook and saw they were holding a Princess Ball I knew she would love it.  It was really reasonable, costing just £5 for her, or £10 for up to three guests so I decided to take Eliza’s best friend Olive and her big sister Megan.

The excitement levels went through the roof on the day of the ball and Eliza wanted her Elsa dress on as soon as she woke up. We met Olive and Megan, and their mum Joanne from Charliemoos, there, took some pre-party pictures and waited to be invited in.

We were invited in by Prince Charming and walked the red carpet into the church hall where the event was being held.  To the girls this looked like a fairytale castle and there was much excitement when they spotted Cinderella.

Cinderella danced and played with the girls before having a magical dance with Prince Charming.  It was then time for her to disappear and we welcomed Ariel.

Again we played some party games and the kids all got to pose for a photo in the sparkly seashell, although Eliza had gone shy by this point.

Next up was a visit from Rapunzel, who is Olive and Megan’s favourite princess.  She took lots of time out to answer all their questions before breaking out the parachute for some fun games.

Last but not least was the turn of the Snow Queen and Ice Princess, or Anna and Elsa to the excited girls.

Anna joined us first, miming along to “For the first time in forever” and when it was Elsa’s turn to sing she glided in to squeals of delight.  All the children were singing along with them and it was the most amazing thing to watch.  Even shy Eliza dared to get as close as she could to her favourite Princesses, especially when they started singing “Let it Go” complete with snow!

There was more dancing and party games to play before the girls got to have their photo taken.  Despite dancing with Elsa, Eliza was still shy, but is very proud that she got to meet her favourite Princesses.

I am hoping Eliza gets over her shyness as I was so impressed that I have booked them for her party in January!
