Something Delicious Book Review

“Somewhere, not so far away, there’s a cave on a hill, filled with wonderful creatures.  They are little somethings.”

The story is all about the Greedy Guzzler who had been eating all day but was still looking for something extra to satisfy his appetite and he knew just where to find it!

Will the Little Somethings escape the Greedy Guzzlers clutches?

The illustrations by Ali Pye are bright, colourful and engaging and the Little Somethings are incredibly cute!

Author Jill Lewis ensures that there is a nice moral to the story about not judging people by what they look like and although the story doesn’t rhyme like many children’s book, it is full of fun and descriptive words which is great for teaching literacy to school age children, although it is too hard for Isaac (5) to read by himself.

The best bit though, is the recipe for Nosh Biscuits at the end of the book which I shall be trying out for myself later this week.

I have 5 copies of Something Delicious to giveaway.

    1. As a really young child i love ‘The tiger who came to tea’ and ‘The paper bag princess’. As an older child it was ‘The twits’ and ‘Matilda’ and when i was in my teens it was the ‘point horror’ books, i had a huge collection of those books.

    4. I read and loved a lot of Enid Blyton books and I’m enjoying reading some with my Daughter now. She has just read The Magic Faraway Tree and then the Wishing Chair books – it brought back memories of how I loved that Magic Faraway Tree
